DOHA: The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) on Monday reported 124 new cases of coronavirus in the country in the last 24 hours and 152 people recovered from the virus, bringing the total number of recoveries to 222,257.       

No death was reported in the past 24 hours and the death toll in the country from Covid-19 till date is 599. 

Qatar has recorded no Covid 19-related death in the past nine days. The last recorded death was on 10 July, and new infections, too, have stabilized.

Out of 124 new cases, 86 are community cases and 38 are travellers returning from abroad. 

The total number of positive Covid-19 cases recorded in Qatar till now is 224,402 and there are 1,546 active cases under treatment.

The Ministry said 46,289 people were tested for the first time in the last 24 hours (20,129 tests in total) taking the total tests done so far to 2,270,315.

Four people were admitted in intensive care in the last 24 hours and 32 people continue to receive medical attention in ICU.

There were six cases of hospital admissions in the last 24 hours taking the total number of patients in hospitals to 72.

The Ministry said 36,311 doses of Covid-19 vaccines have been administered during the past 24 hours and the total number of vaccine doses administered since the start of the vaccination campaign is 3,559,312.
