DOHA: Katara General Manager Dr Khalid bin Ibrahim Al Sulaiti formally inaugurated Tasty Street, a new gastronomic destination in the northern part of the Cultural Village Foundation.
Located next to Al Gannas Headquarters and opposite Al Jazeera Media Cafe, Tasty Street spans over an area of 6,300 sq. metres, which enables it to accommodate hundreds of cars.
The food stalls have been organised in an orderly manner to ensure the comfort of visitors, taking into account precautionary measures against coronavirus. Orders are delivered to cars, following the highest safety standards to ensure the safety of everyone.
“We were keen to revitalise the tourism and entertainment sector in line with the precautionary measures to prevent coronavirus and therefore we launched Tasty Street, which includes more than 37 stores, comprising restaurants and cafes offering the most delicious and wonderful gastronomy,” said Al Sulaiti.
Supporting Qatari youth projects
He stressed the important role Katara plays in supporting Qatari youth projects, opening up wider horizons to introduce the diverse and promising projects they present, which contributes significantly and directly in the advancement and development of their projects.
He pointed out Tasty Street is a perfect opportunity for project owners to exchange experiences and enhance their prospects to commercialise their projects.
Katara always provides support to Qatari entrepreneurs by expanding marketing opportunities through several events and occasions, whether organised or hosted by Katara.
This is in addition to the attendance of Qatari project owners in various festivals organised throughout the year, as a confirmation of its continuous encouragement of Qatari products and its support for young Qatari entrepreneurs.
Tasty Street is open from 3 pm to 2 am until 31 March, 2021.
